I've had the itch to play old N64 games lately, and decided it would make sense to get into the emulation game. However, I'm having problems getting Project64 to recognize my Xbox One controller. I plugged it in via a USB cord to my laptop (Windows 10), installed the most recent Microsoft driver, and it seems to be working on my Steam games. However, when I go to configure the buttons on Project64, the emulator doesn't appear to recognize that I'm hitting any buttons. I've searched the forum but have not been able to come up with the answer. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated!Project 64 Wont Detect Controller Windows 7
Nov 10, 2011 I learned the hard way that once you load it in it wont let you move it as one of the programs stays permanently on in the background. Once this is installed and running, open project 64 and go to the configer controller plugin under options. Once on there, click the XInput button, and then choose the buttons for the controller. 8Bitdo, support, Ultimate software gives you elite control over every piece of your controller: customize button mapping, adjust stick & trigger sensitivity, vibration control and create macros with any button combination. Create controller profiles and switch between them at any time. As a side note, I have tried other plugin's and have tried different controllers, including an XBOX PC controller, and the same issues have occurred again and again. EDIT: Solved my issue by uninstalling Project 62 V. 2.0 and re-installing Project 64 V. I also installed Jabo's 'patch' for 1.6, which he has on his blog. I’m trying to use an Xbox One controller with Project64 2.3.0.210 and the buttons aren’t registering when I go to controller configuration. The controller has worked fine with Zsnes.
